To give you web-goers a taste of what the first LS show was like....here a review from One Way Zine...!

Mad Library started this one off. Mixing, Jazz, funk and Blues, into one wholesome, grove combo. You would think, that a purely instrumental band such as ML, would find it hard to keep a crowd of usually rock hungry Cavern goers happy, but for this funked up four piece, it was a breeze. The biggest gathering, of the night, was kept entertained by a mix of smooth rhythms, soulful lengthy numbers, and all out jazz rock upstarts. And no, im not taking the piss.
Mad Library left me in a good mood, their set was neither too long, or stupidly short. Timed to perfection, I was left hungry for a ever forthcoming demo tape, and the next act of the night.
I Fell Over, were one of those melodic hardcore types. Chugging along, with bit fat riffs and an ever swooning front man, it left me wondering where the originality was. Ive seen and heard, just about enough of this melodic bollocks for one month. Some of the other reviewed bands such as CAW and Dopamine, did good. However, I Fell Over, were just another fish in the sea. Rock star sideburns, violent outbursts of soggy loved up lyrics, and a lead vocalist that seemed to like the mic stand a bit too much, led for a walk out on this band. In the time it took for mediocre rock to stop, I read the fly. That, was also, just another mediocre publication. Oh, dear. But, that was the only downer of the night.
Pneumatic And Sloth. Hip – Hop. Hmmm…actually, they are pretty darned good. Their beats were nicely refreshing, and up – tempo. Their lyrics were sometimes a bit samey, but pretty imaginative all the same. A good bit of freestyle and drumming for an interval, was very entertaining. And, all in all, P+S, did good. Solid beats, Nice rhymes, but not quite the spark needed to perhaps be a solid bet for the future. If they work at it, and get rid of the static ‘hype men’, they will be well liked.
By this time, the nightmare of IFO was forgotten, Tangerine was played, and I had been engaged in a tight game of pint glass basket ball, until Mr. Belding fired up.
Nice hard punk stuff. Real heavy, real quick. Wonderful. Well placed screams, energetic riffage and a very bouncy stage presence, mad Mr.B, a sure fire winner in my books. There set was short, and well delivered. Ending with the true fave, of ‘Dead Granny F*cker’.
