Lone Shark is coming into 2005 with another mighty-fine line-up of some of the countries most interesting & exciting new bands!
It's expected to be quite an exciting year for us (watch this space), and it all kick-starts on January 27th at Exeter Cavern with the following array of aural delicacies;
Mystery Jets are a jolly exciting proposition - taking elements of psychedelic pop, prog and indie and fusing a progessive yet infectiously accessible and downright fun sound!
The live spectacular (as seen recently on the road with Bloc Party) is known to include kitchen utensils for percussion too, what more could you ask for??
Currently being justly hyped all over the shop (as well as publications quoted below, The Fly/ Steve Lamacq/ Queens Of Noize have been singing their praises) - and due to release their debut single, 'Zoo Time' on buzz-label Trangressive next month - big things are expected from Mystery Jets in 2005!

Gentlemen Rebels; - Featuring Lee MadLibrary and MC Dom Coyote, they make an inspiringly innovative world-funk-folk-hiphop blend, joining forces with poignant lyrics, captivating flows and a superb voice to create a refreshing and captivating sound - a must see!
My Sad Captains; - make lofi post-indierock, gentle yet powerful - imagine if Pavement were Scottish, or Mogwai were a touch janglier and you're getting close.
LG22; - Very exciting new band featuring ex-Ampersand keyboard whizzkid Louis: a line-up of drums/ bass/ sax/ keys and a progressively jazzy rock-phunk sound. Fresh!
Mike Andrews; - Exeter solo acoustic indierock chap with soothingly melodic & powerful songs and a handsomely warm voice.
Its a great line-up full of forward-thinking creative acts and will only cost you £4 on the door
